This page explains how MySwimLab collects, uses, protects and deletes personal, training, health and fitness data when you use the mobile app.

MySwimLab is operated by IT Swim Lab. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in line with applicable UK data protection law, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Information we collect
Account and app data
- Name and email address, if you create an account.
- App profile settings and preferences.
- Training plans, workouts, race goals and performance notes entered by you.
- Device and diagnostic information used to maintain app performance.
Health and fitness data
- Workout and exercise session data.
- Swimming, training and activity metrics.
- Distance, duration, pace, calories and related performance data where available.
- Heart rate or other health metrics only when you choose to connect a supported service.
2. Android Health Connect
If you choose to connect Android Health Connect, MySwimLab may request access to health and fitness data so the app can display training history, track performance, support swimming analysis and provide personalised training insights.
Health Connect access is optional. You can grant, deny or remove permissions at any time from your Android device settings.
Health and fitness data accessed through Health Connect is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with advertising platforms.
3. How we use your data
- To provide app features such as workouts, dashboards, analytics and performance tracking.
- To personalise training plans and progress insights.
- To keep the app secure, reliable and functional.
- To respond to support requests and app-related enquiries.
- To meet legal, safety or regulatory obligations.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data or health data. We may use trusted technology providers only where necessary to operate, host, secure or improve the app. Where data is shared with a service provider, it is limited to what is necessary for that service.
5. Data storage and security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No digital service can guarantee complete security, but we work to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can remove Health Connect permissions from your Android settings.
- You can request access to the data we hold about you.
- You can request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- You can contact us to ask questions about how your data is used.
7. Children and young athletes
MySwimLab is designed for swimmers and athletes aged 13 and over. Where a younger athlete uses the app, a parent or guardian should supervise use and provide consent where required.
